Hello! And welcome to GooberPeas. I've created GooberPeas to document my family's experience with Infantile Spasms, a rare form of age-specific epilepsy. My daughter, whose name I've chosen not to use for the sake of her privacy, was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms on July 16th, 2016. Since then, we've been navigating the many aspects of her treatment, both medicinal and therapeutic, as well as all the subsequent tests required to pin point the cause of her IS.
At times throughout the blog I will reiterate that I am not a doctor or medical professional. All information provided in this blog is a product of research and my own experience with and understanding of this disease and its accompanying conditions.
